PREPARE FOR MIGRATION
THE RIGHT SETUP MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
Before migrating data or beginning daily use in Arbiter, we recommend reviewing the resources in this section.
Completing these steps first helps ensure a best-practice setup, reduces issues during migration, and sets you up for long-term success.
🚨 MAP YOUR DATA NOW 🚨
Before schedules can be migrated, each school must complete a quick team mapping step. This ensures your existing events from rSchoolToday/Schedule Star are transferred to the correct teams in Arbiter Game.
- Mapping is completed through a secure link sent to the Athletic Director on your account
- The process typically takes just a few minutes
- You’ll match each existing team to its corresponding team in Arbiter Game
- If a team should not transfer, select “Not a valid team”
👉 Important: Mapping does not move any data—it simply guides where your schedules will go during migration.
If mapping is not completed by APRIL 22, our team will map teams using existing schedules as a reference, but completing this step yourself ensures the highest level of accuracy.

🛑 important note about Assigners 🛑
(If they also use Arbiter)
As you begin entering schedules in Arbiter, strong communication with your assigners is key. Historically, assigners often created games—but moving forward, Athletic Directors may handle schedule entry.
Before building out schedules, we recommend a quick check-in with your assigners to align on:
- • Who is responsible for adding games?
- • When should games be entered?
- • What are the preferred team labels?
- (now is a great time to adopt consistent terminology-gender/level/sport)
A short conversation upfront can prevent duplicate events, confusion, and extra cleanup down the road.
