Is Schedule Star going away?

Not immediately.  No changes will occur for the 2025-26 school year. Schedule Star will merge into Arbiter Game for 2026-27.

Is the Schedule Star front screen going to change?
There will be no changes to Schedule Star for the 2025-26 school year.

Schedule Star will merge into Arbiter Game beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The Arbiter Game platform has come a long way since its early versions over a decade ago — it’s been completely re-engineered and enhanced, with many updates inspired directly by feedback from Schedule Star users.

We encourage you to join our upcoming sessions, where we’ll take a closer look at Arbiter’s scheduling tools and demonstrate how far the product has come. And if you’re open to it, we’d love to hear more about what you found difficult in the past — your insights help us ensure those areas are addressed moving forward.
What is the difference between Schedule Star and Arbiter Game?
Both platforms manage event scheduling and school activities. Arbiter Game, as part of the larger Arbiter platform, links schedules with officiating, eligibility, and event payment tools—reducing duplicate entry and keeping everything connected in one place.
We currently use both Arbiter and Schedule Star and have already entered events in Arbiter for the 26-27 season. Will these events be duplicated when migrate?

No — existing Arbiter events will be recognized and not duplicated.

If we want to move to Arbiter Game now, can we?

Yes, but we will want to work with you and your league (if applicable) to ensure a smooth transition for all schools that share events and event information with you.

Moving as a league/district/conference is preferred. But we will work with anyone anxious to make the move now.

I am on Arbiter as an official and an AD. Will I need a separate account one migration takes place?
No, you will be able to toggle between your officials account and AD account.
I have always found Arbiter to be a platform better suited for officials/assigners, not a website suited for the needs of an AD (my opinion). Schedule Star/Big Teams offers everything an AD needs. Will changes favor the Arbiter platform?
That’s a fair concern. Our teams are working closely to ensure the BigTeams experience you value carries over seamlessly into Arbiter’s platform. The goal is to enhance tools for athletic administrators--and expand beyond the previous focus on official's tools. We encourage you to take a fresh look at the platform. More details and demos will be shared soon.
Our scheduling process for future seasons (26-27 and 27-28) begins in early December. Should I strive to schedule those events in ScheduleStar?
Customers should continue to use the Schedule Star in scheduling future events (26-27, 27-28, 2tc) as they will be migrated over to Arbiter Game.
Will I need to enter my 2026-27 schedules again into Arbiter Game when Schedule Star moves over?
No, as we move Schedule Star users into Arbiter Game we will be migrating any future events into Arbiter in preparation for the 2026-27 school year. No need to enter those schedules in again!
Will we have access to old schedules that are currently in Schedule Star?
Yes.  However, our team is still determining how far in the past we will be able to migrate data from Schedule Star into Arbiter Game.  More info to come on this.
Will SIS integrations remain supported?
Yes, SIS integrations will continue syncing with Schedule Star through 2025-26.
Will my schedules still sync with S2Pass?
Yes, S2Pass will continue syncing with Schedule Star through 2025-26.
Will the iCal feed continue to be supported?
Yes, Arbiter Game includes an iCal feed option.
Will we be able to manage game contracts in Arbiter Game?

Yes, through a simple contract acceptance process where events and schools can talk to each other within Arbiter Game.

Will athletic workers be able to request to work specific events through Arbiter Game?
This isn’t a feature that’s currently available, but schools can assign workers directly within the event setup. We’ll consider adding more flexibility for worker requests in future updates based on client feedback.
Can Arbiter Game schedule non-athletic events?
Arbiter Game supports scheduling for all types of school events—including fine arts, assemblies, and staff meetings.
Can I print rosters from Arbiter Game for game night programs?
Yes. You can create reports and export rosters for programs, eligibility reports, tournament entry, etc.
Can we restrict the ability for assigners to add/edit events?
Assigners can propose updates to your schedule, but those changes will not appear publicly until you review and approve them. You’ll always see when a change has been made and maintain full control over what is published.
In Arbiter Game, do I need to manually sync schedule changes to assigners or public calendars?

No manual syncing is required. Any updates you make automatically appear for assigners and connected calendars. You still control what’s shown publicly—each event includes a checkbox to publish or unpublish, and you can manage multiple events at once using the bulk “Publish” or “Unpublish” options in your schedule view.

Will there be more ways to alter printable rosters (as in fonts, size, additional info, managers etc? )
That is something our team will look into moving forward. More information to come as we get closer to specifics on that feature.
Will we be able to create the PIAA-required Eligibility Lists (required in Pennsylvania) directly as we are now?
There is nothing state or league specific at this time.
I currently use Arbiter Pay. Do I have to register separately for Arbiter Game and is Arbiter Game where all or scheduling will be in the future?
Schedule Star clients will be migrated to Arbiter Game, which is where your scheduling will take place moving forward.
Will the awards tracking history migrate?
That is something our team will look into moving forward. More information to come as we get closer to specifics on that feature.
Is Student Central Registration going away?

Not immediately. There will be no changes for the 2025–26 school year. Beginning with 2026–27, Student Central will merge into Arbiter Registration, which includes additional features such as injury management and text messaging. Our team will guide schools through a smooth transition when the time comes.

Will all student information be transferred over from Student Central to Arbiter Registration?

We’re still determining whether student and parent data can be migrated. Due to strict privacy rules and complex data relationships, it may not be feasible. If we recommend starting fresh, know that many schools have done so successfully, and we’ll provide full guidance and support. More details coming soon.

What are the main differences between Arbiter Registration and Student Central?

Arbiter Registration includes everything in Student Central plus added tools for flexibility and ease of use. It supports non-sport registrations, uses a single account for all users, simplifies fee management with multiple payment options, and adds attendance tracking and a continuous form design for families

Will parents need to create new family accounts in Arbiter Registration?

Yes, but the setup process is simple and guided by our team. Once created, all student data is stored under the family account.

When students register, can I require them to watch certain required videos for them to register?
Yes. You could include a link to the video and they would be required to acknowledge that they watched it before moving on in the form.
Will the Arbiter system allow for syncing rosters in the registration program (behind the scenes) with the the front line product that families/fans see?
Our team is still determining syncing capabilities moving forward.
Can we still process refunds for previous transactions in Arbiter Registration?
Yes, refunds can be processed through PayPal, Stripe, or MySchoolBucks by canceling the registration, automatically refunding the payment.
Is insurance purchased through Vertical Insurance still valid?
Yes, families can continue using Vertical Insurance without disruption.
Is Fan Central going away?
Not immediately. There will be no changes for the 2025–26 school year. Beginning with 2026–27, your Fan Central website will be merged into Arbiter Sites, which offers a greater opportunity for customization.
How are you working to make sure that all of your school athletic websites are ADA compliant by April 2026.
Accessibility is a top priority for us. Our standard Arbiter Websites template is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards, which ensures full ADA compliance.
For schools using a customized design or different template, we also perform an ADA quality review (QA) before launch to verify compliance. When needed, we can provide a site-specific VPAT.
Will team pages still update automatically?
Yes, event information will continue to flow automatically from the scheduling platform to your public site—just as it does today.
Will my photos on my BigTeams website migrate over to the Arbiter website?
Specifics on what data will be migrated from Fan Central websites to Arbiter websites have not been finalized yet. More info to come.
Will the calendar integration with Finalsite still be supported?
That functionality will exist through the 25-26 school year. However, there has been no determination on the connection past that time.
We’re in Ohio, members of OHSAA. Since OHSAA is partnered with Dragonfly, I’m not clear on the advantages of an Arbiter website when I have to look at a change anyway?
Arbiter websites offer custom design and branding, mobile optimization, real-time schedule and score updates and an ad-free viewing experience.
Does Arbiter have a Med Central version to be used by an Athletic Trainer?

There is an injury tracking system in Arbiter that will be shared with clients.

Is League Central going away?
Not immediately. There will be no changes for the 2025–26 school year. Beginning with 2026–27, League Central will be merged into Arbiter’s League Scheduler, which offers similar functionality including conflict detection.
What will happen to League Central events that I have not accepted?
Only accepted League Central events will be included in the data migration. Be sure to accept any pending events in Schedule Star before your school’s migration date. We’ll provide advance notice of all deadlines so you have time to review and accept the events you want carried over.
How will league schedules be created and approved once we migrate?
Arbiter’s League Scheduler offers robust parameters, conflict detection, and approval workflows to streamline the scheduling process.
Are Association Websites going away?

Not immediately. There will be no changes for the 2025–26 school year. Beginning with 2026–27, Association Websites will be merged into Arbiter’s platform, which offers similar functionality including opportunity for customization.

Do I need to worry about pricing changes?

Your current contract and pricing will remain unchanged until renewal. At that time, you may notice a small price adjustment in line with standard annual updates across the industry. These adjustments allow us to continue enhancing our products and support while keeping costs competitive.

We’ll always communicate any changes clearly and in advance.

What does the Arbiter Renewal process look like?

Arbiter doesn’t send automatic invoices like BigTeams did—renewals follow a more guided process to ensure accuracy.

Here’s what to expect:

  • An Arbiter account manager will contact you when it’s time to renew.

  • You’ll receive a renewal email with your quote.

  • Review and accept the quote.

  • Sign the renewal document.

  • An invoice will be emailed to your billing contact.

  • Payment is due 30 days from your renewal date.

If you have any questions, we’re here to help!

Will you still offer a la carte options and packages?
This has not been determined. More info to come.
